When I visited the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park this summer, I saw the weirdest bunch of flowers - that Allah made - and even weirder creations by hardcore environmentalists. I'm really inspired by the ingenuity of little people who this year for me, were the stars of the garden show.

Students from British schools were given space at their school to create a habitat for species by reusing discarded containers. Many schools entered their designs and ideas for RHS competitions.

Urmston Grammar School, Manchester, went all the way for adding the pow in flower power. Students recycled toilets, turning otherwise unmentionable holes into awesome flower pots. Their work was based on inspiration from the 60's and an Alice In Wonderland replica, showcased on the RHS Schools For Gardening website.
"At school our annual expo at UGS was inspired by colour and patterns in 'Celebrating The 60s'. We chose two toilets to encourage people to recycle their bathroom ceramics. The flowers were chosen to attract butterflies and bees." - Students from Urmston Grammar School.
I don't know whether I'd get a lavatory installed outside in my garden though (the neighbours might think I've made an outhouse), but I commend Urmston School for their brill idea.

Today, a loo, tomorrow, the bathtub!
